Egg Tray Making Machine in Saudi Arabia

MEW Machines builds paper egg tray making machines in Jaipur, India, for buyers in Saudi Arabia. Our semi-automatic lines make 900 to 3,000 trays per hour from waste paper and cardboard, and we build Saudi orders with motors rated for the Kingdom’s 60Hz supply, so the line runs at its rated speed from day one.
Lines are ready to ship 65 to 120 days after you confirm the order, depending on the model, and travel by sea to Jeddah or Dammam.

Why 60Hz matters for an egg tray line in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia supplies 230V single-phase and 400V three-phase power at 60Hz. India and the other GCC countries run at 50Hz. An AC motor built for 50Hz turns about 20% faster on a 60Hz supply, which changes the pulper, vacuum pump and forming machine speeds the line was designed around.
That is why a used or standard 50Hz line bought for another market is a poor fit for the Kingdom. For Saudi orders we specify 60Hz-rated motors, pumps and drives when we build the line, and we note the supply on your layout drawing so your electrician can plan the panel.
Egg tray machine models and output
| Model | Output (trays/hour) | Connected power (kW) | Ready to ship |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semi-automatic, small | 900 | 45 | 65 days |
| Semi-automatic, medium | 1,500 | 35–50 | 90 days |
| Semi-automatic, large | 3,000 | 60 | 120 days |
Power figures are for our standard lines; your 60Hz build is confirmed in the quotation. Capacity is built to order, so if your target output isn’t listed, send it to us and we will size the line.
What goes into the line
- Pulping: the hydro pulper breaks old newspapers and cardboard into an even fibre slurry.
- Mixing: the slurry tank mixer holds the slurry at a steady consistency, so every tray has the same weight.
- Forming: the 1×3 molding machine vacuum-forms the trays on the moulds and transfers them out.
- Drying: trays are sun-dried or dried in a dryer before stacking and baling.
Change the moulds and the same line makes fruit trays, cup carriers and other molded pulp packaging for local food producers.
Drying egg trays in the Saudi climate
Much of Saudi Arabia is hot and dry for most of the year, which suits sun drying: trays laid on racks in a shaded, ventilated yard dry quickly and cost nothing to run. Two things change the picture:
- Coastal humidity: plants near Jeddah or on the Eastern Province coast see humid summer months, when trays dry more slowly.
- Dust: open-air drying needs covered racks or screening during dust storms, or trays pick up grit.
If you need steady output every day, or you run a larger line, a dryer is the safer choice. Tell us your city and target output and we will suggest the right option.
Raw material and water
- Raw material: old newspapers, cardboard boxes (old corrugated containers) and office waste paper. Retail and warehouse cardboard is a ready local source in the big cities.
- Water: about 1–2 m³ per hour on the 1,500 trays/hour model. Water is expensive in the Kingdom, so plan a settling tank to reuse process water in the pulper.
What decides the cost of an egg tray line
We quote every line to your output, so we don’t publish a fixed price. Four things decide the cost:
- Output: trays per hour decides the number of moulds and the size of the pulper.
- Automation: semi-automatic lines need more workers; fully automatic lines cost more but need fewer.
- Drying: sun drying is cheapest; a dryer adds cost and gives steady output.
- Moulds: extra moulds for fruit trays or cup carriers are quoted separately.

FAQ
Will an Indian egg tray machine run on Saudi power?
Yes, when it is built for it. Saudi Arabia runs at 60Hz, so we fit 60Hz-rated motors, pumps and drives on Saudi orders. A standard 50Hz line would run about 20% fast.
How many egg trays can one machine make per hour?
Our standard models make 900, 1,500 or 3,000 trays per hour. We can size a line for a higher output.
How much does an egg tray making machine cost in Saudi Arabia?
It depends on output, automation, the dryer and the moulds, so we quote each line separately. Send us your target output in trays per hour and your city.
Can I sun-dry egg trays in Saudi Arabia?
Yes, for most of the year inland. Plants on the humid coasts, or plants that need the same output every day, usually add a dryer.
Which port do you ship to?
Jeddah for the west of the Kingdom and Dammam for the Eastern Province. Your clearing agent handles import clearance and inland transport.
